The Commonwealth Medicaid Agency (CMA) hereby notifies all participating providers that the current Public Health Emergency (PHE) for Super Typhoon Bavi has expired as of 09/30/2026.  The Public Health Emergency (PHE) for Super Typhoon Sinlaku for flexibilities and related program accommodations will also be expiring on October 8, 2026.  The CMA is currently waiting for an official extension to be issued by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) for the PHE for STY Sinlaku. As of the date of this notice, CMA has not received notification of an extension.

Unless the CMA announces an extension of the applicable flexibilities, standard Medicaid program requirements will resume on October 9, 2026.

Providers should review their operations, services, billing practices, and administrative processes to identify any reliance on these temporary flexibilities and ensure compliance with standard Medicaid program requirements beginning October 9, 2026. CMA will promptly notify all enrolled providers if an extension or additional guidance becomes available.
